The High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Christian Schmidt, met yesterday with the Grand Mufti Husein Kavazovic to discuss cooperation with other religious communities with the aim of strengthening efforts being made toward achieving reconciliation, as well as the upcoming commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

During the meeting, the High Representative emphasized the importance of expressing the deepest respect for the victims and survivors.

“Younger generations need leaders who, by their example, will show how to face the legacy of genocide and war crimes so that such horrors never happen again,” stated the High Representative, the Office of the High Representative (OHR) posted on the platform Twitter.
