Germany will tighten its deportation rules to make glorification of terrorist offenses grounds for deportation, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Thursday after a spate of attacks fueled calls for a tougher stance on migration policy.

“Anyone who glorifies terrorism is not in line with our values and should be deported,” Scholz told the lower house of the Bundestag.

He also added that the interior ministry is working to facilitate the deportation of criminals and dangerous migrants back to Afghanistan.
