Schumacher Family Secret Finally Revealed

The legendary Michael Schumacher and his brother Ralf built impressive careers in Formula 1, but their father was opposed to that path all along.

Of course, Michael had a much more successful career, winning the Formula 1 championship seven times, but Ralf also has achievements to boast about, including six race wins and 27 podium finishes in the championship.

Very little is currently known about Michael’s health, while Ralf is often present in the media. In an interview, Ralf revealed that a family secret was their father‘s strong opposition to their careers in motorsport.

“My parents didn’t like motorsport. My father absolutely doesn’t like it; he prefers peaceful activities like fishing. Even when Michael was the best in the world, my father asked me to pursue something else,” Ralf said in the interview.

The younger Schumacher brother also mentioned how their father didn’t believe Ralf would succeed, thinking it impossible for both sons from the same family to achieve success.

“Even when Michael was already competing in Formula 1, my father told me to forget about that career and said that Michael had just been very lucky. He told me that only one of us could be successful and that the two of us wouldn’t make it. He insisted that I should do something else,” Ralf added.

Ralf, however, didn’t follow his father’s advice. He dedicated himself to Formula 1 and proved that he made the right choice. He retired in 2007. Six years later, the family was struck by a major tragedy when Michael suffered a skiing accident, after which his life became shrouded in mystery. He has never been seen in public again, Klix.ba writes.
