Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today, in cooperation with the Foreign Affairs Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located six citizens of Afghanistan and Egypt, one of whom was issued an international Interpol warrant by NCB Belgrade.
The international warrant was issued with the aim of depriving the person of his freedom and extraditing him to Serbia, for the purpose of prosecution for the criminal offense of “illegal production, possession and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials”.
Police officers of the SIPA, by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, searched a residential building, when they discovered and temporarily confiscated one gun and detained one person. The remaining five persons were handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aforementioned activities were realized on the basis of international cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia.
