Sebija Izetbegović camo.chSebija Izetbegović, the former Director of General Hospital ”Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš”, wwas appointed the Director of Clinical Center University of Sarajevo.

The new director was appointed last night at the session of the Steering Committee of CCUS, and she was the only candidate for this position.

Sebija Izetbegović, wife of the Bosniak member of the Presidency of B&H Bakir Izetbegović, has been the director of General Hospital since 2013, and previously she has been holding the position of director of The discipline of gynecology, obstetrics and pediatrics of CCUS. She completed her PhD studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo.

As a reminder, Izetbegović got to this position when the director general of CCUS Rusmir Mesihović resigned irrevocably in early December, after some ten months of work.

This appointment occurs in the time of announcements of the merging of the General Hospital and CCUS. No one of those relevant does not want to speak openly about this, but the FB&H Government formed a working group for the work on health care reform.
