Yesterday on the premises of the BiH Olympic Committee a second working meeting of the Board of Directors of the Foundation “Sarajevo Srce Evrope” was held on the occasion of the realization of the project marking the centenary of the First World War. At the meeting, a commission was formed that will carry out the selection of projects financed by the EU and supported by the member states of the foundation.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo Dr. Ranko Čović, Ambassador of France to BiH Roland Gilles, representatives of the EU Holger Schroder and Natalia Dianiskova, President of UO Foundation “Sarajevo Srce Evrope” Jasmina Pašalić, members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation prof. dr. Miodrag Živanović and prof. Franjo Topić, representative of the Mission from Paris David Zivie, and representatives of Austria, Germany and Great Britain-three new members that are included in the work of the Foundation.
Deputy Mayor dr. Čović said that the City of Sarajevo started designing the logo for 2014, and that one of the messages of this logo is “Sarajevo, mjesto gdje srećem prijatelja” (Sarajevo, place where I meet my friends). He said that with the organization of the bicycle race Tour de France (which is on the program), Sarajevo should receive walking and cycling routes that are necessary to the city.
The President of the UO Foundation Jasmina Pašalić said that the Commission, which will perform a selection of the projects at the next meeting to determine the manner of selection and evaluation of projects so that those that correspond to the marketing program would be shortlisted.
Participants at today’s meeting agreed that the message that would permeate in all the activities are planned for next year, and that it would be a message of peace, tolerance, friendship and reconciliation.
