The Minister of Economy of the Canton Sarajevo (CS), Adnan Delic, organized a meeting with the Minister of the Internal Affairs, Admir Katica, the Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Refugees and Displaced Persons, Ivana Prvulovic, and representatives of the Association of Tourist Businessmen of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Namely, the tourist season in Sarajevo and BiH has already begun, and its peak is expected during July and August when the number of tourists is expected to increase, the CS Protocol and Press Service said.

At one of the meetings with businessmen “Na kafi s ministrom”, representatives of the tourism sector pointed out begging and pickpocketing as the biggest problems of the tourism industry, emphasizing that these problems must be solved now in order to be ready for the season and avoid situations in which the escalation of these problems would lead to unforeseeable consequences in the field of tourism.

The meeting was also attended by the Commissioner of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of the CS, Nusret Selimovic, Inspector Enes Softic, and the Director of the Center for Social Work of the CS, Mahir Delic.

During the meeting, the problems faced by the representatives of the tourism sector, information from the field of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of the CS, as well as the Cantonal Center for Social Work were highlighted.

“Today, we have all reached conclusions that will enable the implementation of activities that will increase the level of security for tourists in our canton, as well as our citizens, and we will immediately take all necessary steps to implement these activities on time,” Minister Delic noted yesterday.

Following yesterday‘s solution to the problem, joint conclusions were reached at a meeting that will prevent and greatly contribute to improving the safety of tourists, but also the citizens of the CS, Klix.ba writes.
