The Artistic Committee of the International Theater Festival “Actor of Europe” headed by the president Jordan Plevnes, handed over the honorary award “Actress of Europe 2018” to BH actress Selma Alispahic.
The “Actor of Europe” is one of the most important festivals in Macedonia, and, besides the selected theatres, it also gathers important theatre artists from all over the world. This award has been awarded since the year of 2003 and numerous famous international names received it so far, including Ljuba Tadic, Rade Serbedzija, Anastas Pop Dimitrov, Marcel Bozonnet, Bruce Mayers, Milena Zupancic, Ion Caramitru and many others.
Selma Alispahic was born in Tuzla in 1970. She graduated at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo in the class of Professor Bora Stjepanovic as the best student of the generation in 1990. She received numerous prestigious awards for her work so far, and besides theatres in BiH, this great actress worked at the National Royal Theater in London as well.
