1,000 police officers in uniform and civilian clothes will be taking care for the safety of members of the Presidency of B&H, who will be visiting Serbia on Wednesday.
Bakir Izetbegović, Mladen Ivanić and Dragan Čović are coming to Belgrade at the invitation of Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vučić, who was attacked on the 11th of July in Srebrenica. Most probably, the meeting will be held in Karađorđevo.
It is expected that the members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) to arrive in Belgrade as well due to the preparations, and have a meeting with members of the MUP and BIA. After the meeting, the track of the movement of visitors from B&H should be determined as well.
“Along the route of column of cars, streets will be closed down and opened again according to their movement, and traffic patrols will be set up all over the place. The car with the delegation of the Presidency of B&H will be followed by three vehicles with the most experienced members of the Board for the guarding of important personalities. Surroundings of Karađorđevo will be practically under the siege, and even the Danube River will be under the patrol of the police and gendarmerie divers,” says the source.
Nebojša Stefanović, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia, refused to comment the information regarding the specific measures of security.
“From the moment they enter until the moment they left Serbia, they will be absolutely safe and will not be missing even a hair from their heads. The obligation of the police is to guarantee their safety and I am convinced that Serbia will not experience anything similar to what happened to Vučić in Potočari,” said Stefanović.
