Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Ismir Jusko, stated that he will meet with the representatives of Serbia soon, with the aim to summarize all options of the future route of Belgrade – Sarajevo highway.

“I have the information that Serbia is now ready for two options, one route that would go over Vardiste, and the other one over Tuzla. However, I want to hear that from the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia Zorana Mihajlovic. After that, in accordance with our previous agreement, I will organize a meeting of all officials in BiH, because that is a decision that must be made by the most responsible people in the country,” noted Minister Jusko.

After meeting with the Minister of Transport and Communications of the RS Nedjo Trninic, Minster Jusko stated that they discussed the recent session of the Transport Community in Brussels where, according to him, concrete projects were submitted. They include access roads in Gradiska and the transport infrastructure on the route Scepan field – Montenegro.

“We also discussed the activation of Una railroad, and we got positive opinions from the ports of Zadar, Split and Sibenik, which are interested in transporting their goods through this port. That means a lot of new workplace and opening of new storage facilities,” noted Minister Jusko.

When it comes to the Bratunac bridge, he stated that his office finished its part of the job, and he is hoping that other opinions will be obtained soon in order for this project to be completed.

He also added that the Bratunac bridge will be put into operation when the facilities and access roads in the territory of the RS are completed, and he also recalled that the Council of Ministers of BiH recently adopted the decision on a common border crossing with Serbia.

Two ministers assessed the cooperation between the two countries as good.
