The Serbian Competition Commission has approved that the Srbijagas Public Company will acquire direct individual control over the Bijeljina-gas company from Bosnia and Herzegvoina (BiH) by acquiring 79.29 percent of the stake.

This takeover was based on the judgment of the Commercial Court in Novi Sad and the Competition Commission of Serbia emphasized that the Bijeljina-gas company is not present in the natural gas markets in Serbia.

The minority stake in the Bijeljina company of 20.71 percent of the capital will remain owned by the City of Bijeljina, Biznis Info reports.
