The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, announced that he has been informed by Azerbaijan that there will be no suspension of gas supplies to Serbia.
“Our brothers and friends from Azerbaijan have just informed me that, despite the objective problems caused by force majeure, there will be no suspension of gas to Serbia,” Vucic stated on the social media “X.”
Vucic expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan and its President, Ilham Aliyev, to whom he conveyed that he is eagerly anticipating his visit to Belgrade soon.
Two days ago, after a meeting with the United States (U.S.) Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Richard Verma, President Vucic announced that he had been informed by Azerbaijan that, due to force majeure and issues at their exploitation field, Serbia, until further notice, cannot count on the 1.7 million cubic meters of gas they received daily.
