Several Hundred Sarajevans in a Protest March in Support of the People of Palestine

Several hundred Sarajevo residents gathered in the city center yesterday to support Palestine in a peaceful protest march amid the conflict with Israel.

The protest march started from Bascarsija, and those present shouted: “Palestine”, “Gaza”, “Bosnia” with the flags of Palestine and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). A group of citizens walked to Marijin Dvor, where they ended the protest in front of the state parliament building.

The events in Jerusalem have attracted the attention of the world public these days, and the countries are divided when it comes to providing support. Some of them support Israel, while there are those who are on the side of the Palestinian people. This type of division has also been noticed in BiH.

The protest gathering in Sarajevo began at around 2:00 p.m.

Two days ago, this kind of support was organized in Zenica, and accordingly, the same message was sent from Sarajevo, and that is that the riots and crimes against the people of Palestine must stop.

To recall, on the eve of Eid, and during the last days of Ramadan, the conflict in East Jerusalem has escalated, where so far at least 109 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza, including 28 children and 15 women, as the Palestinian Ministry of Health based in Gaza reported.

At least 621 people were injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes this week, as the health ministry added. As of Monday, seven Israelis have been killed and more than 200 injured, the Israeli military said.

Meanwhile, Hamas fired another 55 rockets at Israel on Thursday night. Many officials have called for an end to the conflict, but no concrete solution has been reached so far, Klix.ba writes.
