Several Streets closed due to New Year celebration in Sarajevo

Due to the New Year’s celebration in Sarajevo, there will be a change in traffic from 16:00 o’clock in Tito Street in front of the Eternal Fire.

“We inform the users that, in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Transport of Canton Sarajevo, and because of the complete halt of traffic on the occasion of the public New Year’s Eve in front of the Eternal Fire, the public transport will take place by different schedule,” was stated from the public enterprise GRAS.

The company GRAS will, with the aim of securing the transport of visitors to this event, extend the operation of trams and bus lines from the City Hall to Dobrinja settlement. In the center of Sarajevo, there will be changes in traffic due to the New Year’s celebration and preparation of concert in front of the Eternal Fire.

In the New Year’s night, the trams will work until 3:00 am. Today, trams will operate from 16:00 o’clock from Skenderija to Ilidža.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, 1st and 2nd January 2019, public city transport will take place on the holiday or Sunday schedule.

Based on the decision of the Ministry of Transport of Canton Sarajevo (CS), in the period from December 28th, 2018, when preparations will begin, until January 2nd, 2019, there will be temporary changes in the traffic of the streets of Mula Mustafa Baseskija, Marsala Tita, Mehmeda Spahe, Kaptol, Radiceva, Trampina, Kulovica and Reisa Dzemaludina Causevica.

On Monday, December 31st, from 16.00 to 06.00, on Tuesday, January 1st, from 4.00 pm to 2.00 pm, before the start and during the concerts, motor traffic will be forbidden in the street Mula Mustafa Baseskija on the part where it connects with the street Nize Banje to until the pace of connection with Marsala Tita Street and on Marsala Tita Street from the intersection with the street of Mula Mustafa Baseskija to the intersection with Kosevo Street and Radiceva Street from the intersection with Branilaca Sarajeva Street to the intersection with Marsala Tita Street.

During this period, the traffic will be prohibited for motor vehicles in Dalmatinska Street from the intersection with Marsala Tita Street to the intersection with Mehmeda Spahe Street, as well as in Kulovica Street from the intersection with Marsala Tita Street to the intersection with Branilaca Sarajeva Street.
