The Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was marked with a ceremonial parade and artistic program at the Square of Freedom in Tuzla.
The parade, from the Bosnian Cultural Center (BKC) to the Square of Freedom, was attended by officers of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton (TC), representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, firefighters, hunters, health workers, students, cultural and artistic societies…
A cultural and artistic program was organized at the Square of Freedom, and the Prime Minister of TC Irfan Halilagic addressed those present.
”Today we are sending a message that the statehood of BiH was restored 80 years ago. We know that Bosnia has existed for 800 years. This is evidenced by these seven flags. From the Banate, Kingdom, Eyalet, corpus separatum, Republic of BiH. And that is the message we send to others. There were empires, there were conquerors, there were separatists, and there are still some today. But they are all a thing of the past. BiH was, is, and will be a country of equal nations,” Halilagic stated yesterday.
In the cultural and artistic part of the program, Kenan Husic and Citizens’ Association Zrno Soli, Ajdin Osmanovic, and Jasmin Brasnjic, the Vocal Ensemble of BKC TC and elementary school students performed.
