[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Several thousand people who will attend the funeral of 127 victims of the genocide that happened on the 11th of July 1995 in Srebrenica, arrived to the Memorial Center in Potocari.
So far, thirty buses from different parts of BiH, starting from Zavidovici, Kladanj, Sarajevo, Zenica, Tuzla, Jajce and Zivinice, arrived in Potocari.
Traffic of vehicles and buses is increased on all routes to Srebrenica, especially at the entrance to Potocari. For traffic regulation is responsible the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS, while special police is escorting vehicles.
Several thousands of people are in front of the Memorial Centre, and the families of the victims of genocide gathered around the caskets of their beloved ones, who will be buried at the cemetery of the Memorial Center around 2 pm.
Participants of several peace marches also arrived in Potocari this morning, as well as motorcyclists from Gorazde who helped in the organization, while people are visiting the Battery Factory, which is located near the memorial complex.
It is a factory that was used by the Dutch battalion of UNPROFOR as its headquarters in 1994 and 1995 and in which residents of Srebrenica thought to find rescue in July 1995. However, for most of them, it became the place where they lived the last moments of their lives.
None of the VIP guests have not arrived yet, but it was announced that this year’s funeral and the anniversary will be attended by the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Serbia, Cedomir Jovanovic.
