Seville – A City with the Spirit of a Metropolis and the Warmth and Charm of a Small Town

Seville, the largest city in Andalusia and the fourth-largest city in Spain, truly tells a unique story. It is a city that possesses the spirit of a metropolis but the warmth of a small town.

As the heart of Andalusia, Seville is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities, boasting landmarks that rank among the most impressive in Europe.

It captivates with its colors, vegetation, architecture, and atmosphere. It is the cradle of many Spanish traditions, home to delicious tapas, and a host to magnificent monuments.

One must-visit spot is Maria Luisa Park, with its most spectacular feature being Plaza de Espana, a breathtaking square.

At Plaza de Espana, you’ll experience the true grandeur of Spain. The square is reached through a fairy-tale park where carriages glide through, leading to a large circular complex that today houses numerous administrative offices.

Another highlight is the grand Royal Alcazar of Seville Palace, whose origins date back to the 10th century. This royal palace, originally a Moorish fortress, is one of the finest examples of Moorish-style architecture.

La Giralda is one of Seville’s most iconic symbols. For centuries, it stood as the tallest building in the city (97 meters) until skyscrapers took its place. The cathedral, built in 1195, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the third-largest cathedral in the world. It was initially a mosque and later transformed into a church.
