Members of the Sports and Fishing Association in Kakanj pulled more than 300 tires for cars and trucks from Bosna river bed. Negligence about nature and environment in which we live has once again surfaced.

The action is carried out under the motto “I love Kakanj”, which is working on cleaning and landscaping of the river bank of Bosna, removal of wild dumps and other garbage.

The great action of cleaning the riverbed of this great river came for the first time in 15 years, and 400,000 BAM was set aside for this purpose.

In mid-August, Zenica Doboj Canton Government Minister for Physical Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection Arnel Isak signed agreements with representatives of municipalities and cities and public utility companies to finance projects to clean up the banks of the river Bosna along its course through the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

The Cantonal Environmental Protection Fund has allocated funds for this purpose in the amount of  423,497.60 BAM for financing the clearing of the river Bosna in seven cities and municipalities, from Visoko to Doboj Jug, Klix.ba news portal reports.
