Signed the Contracts with Seven NGOs in Banja Luka

potpisivanje-ugovoraRepresentatives of the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) and NGOs from Banja Luka signed today a contract on projects funding of seven non-governmental organizations, which were selected by the public tenders, within the project “Strengthening Local Democracy – LOD 3“.

The total amount of funds which is approved for these projects is 343.000 KM.

Most of the funding has been provided from the EU per-accession funds, while 20 percent of the amount is allocated by the City of Banja Luka.

UNDP representative Samir Omerefendić, who on behalf of the organization signed the contract, said that the project aims to improve cooperation between local governments and civil society sector.

He pointed out that for the public competition were reported 41 projects, and there are selected the best seven projects.

Reminder, on 31st May of this year, the Mayor Slobodan Gavranović, signed in Sarajevo the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Banja Luka and the UNDP to participate in the project “Strengthening Local Democracy – LOD 3“.
