Significant Increase in New Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in BiH

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 756 people have been registered positive for the coronavirus, out of 1,972 processed tests. Thirteen deaths were reported, seven in the Federation of BiH and six in the Republika Srpska, according to the data are from entity institutions for public health and the Government of Brcko District of BiH. So far, a total of 15,956 people have died in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a result of the Covid-19 infection.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 1,427 samples were reported to the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of which 480 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. New cases were registered in all cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

So far, a total of 1,309,113 samples have been tested in FBiH, and SARS-CoV-2 has been confirmed in 259,078 people.

Seven deaths were reported, five in Tuzla and one each in Zenica-Doboj and Sarajevo Cantons. The total number of deaths in the territory of the Federation of BiH is 8,966.

Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in the Republika Srpska, in the last three days, 505 laboratory samples have been tested, and the new corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) has been confirmed in 256 people. Six deaths were reported.

So far, 116,733 cases of the corona virus have been confirmed in the Republika Srpska, and a total of 6,452 people who tested positive for the corona virus have died.

In RS, a total of 435,505 people were tested. The total number of hospitalized people in Republika Srpska is 166, and six people are on ventilators.

In the Brcko District of BiH, 29 new cases of infection with the corona virus were registered, 40 tests were performed, and currently 334 cases are active. So far, 538 people have died as a result of the coronavirus in the Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
