The scenario troops had to deal with at the airport today included A demonstration, a hostage situation and an improvised explosive device (suspected bomb). It was clear that the co-operation between all parties remains strong and that we have established excellent communication links.

Quick Response is EUFOR’s largest annual exercise, it tests EUFOR’s ability to bring reserve forces into BiH and quickly integrate them. The smooth arrival of part of EUFORreserves from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and the United KingdomprovedEUFOR’s ability to rapidly increase in size and strength, ready to face any challenge we are presented with. HQ EUFOR, LEAs and AFBiH have proved their capability of rapidly upscaling troop numbers in all parts of Bosnia and Hercegovina and protecting critical infrastructure and installations.
