Police officers from the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) conducted a search of an apartment and other premises and movable property at a location in Sarajevo on Friday.

“One person was deprived of liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of ‘Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs’ as prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH),” stated SIPA.

The individual deprived of liberty was taken to SIPA premises for criminal processing and questioning as a suspect, after which they will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Prosecutor’s Office.

“During the search, approximately 22 kilograms of the narcotic drug speed and a certain quantity of the narcotic drug marijuana were discovered and temporarily seized, along with other items that could serve as evidence of the aforementioned criminal offense,” the statement said.

These activities were carried out based on an oral order from the Municipal Court in Sarajevo and under the supervision of the CS Prosecutor’s Office, in cooperation with police officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the CS, AA writes.
