Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) yesterday arrested two people in the Sarajevo area because of the grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of “Organizing a Group or Associations for the Execution of a Crime Smuggling of Migrants”.
During the implementation of these activities, SIPA police officers searched suspects, residential facilities and vehicles they used to smuggle 14 persons from Iraq, Iran and Syria.
Also, several objects are temporarily seized during the search, which will serve as evidence in further criminal proceedings.
The suspects are detained in SIPA premises and are subject to criminal processing, after which they will be transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal deadline in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
