SIPA Launches Operation “East Tourist,” 18 Suspects Under Investigation

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency today (19.05.2025) in the area of ​​Sarajevo, Travnik, Cazin, Velika Kladuša and Novi Grad began the operational operation “Istok Turist”, as part of which searches of residential and auxiliary facilities and movable property are being carried out at eight locations in relation to 18 suspects.

The operational operation “Istok Turist” is being carried out by order of the Court and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offenses “Organizing a group or association for the commission of the criminal offense of migrant smuggling” and “Smuggling of people” prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been committed
