SIPA Members have been Conducting Searches and Arrests Today

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), together with authorized employees of the Indirect Taxation Administration (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, have been conducting searches and arrests of suspects in a total of 13 locations in both BiH entities since the early hours of the morning. Action “Studenac” is carried out by order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The activities are related to the investigation in the case of organized crime, related to the unauthorized circulation of excise goods, illegal storage of goods and other related criminal acts.

During the investigation, evidence was gathered that the suspects were illegally trading and placing on the illegal market large quantities of cigarettes, tobacco and other excise products.

After the end of the activity, more details about the action will be known, announced the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

SIPA previously announced that the action was being carried out in the areas of Zenica, Vitez, Ljubuški, Čapljina, Posušje, Cazin, Banja Luka and Bijeljina, in cooperation with members of the Federal Police Administration, the MIA of the Republika Srpska, and the MIA’s Cantons of Sarajevo, Zenica-Doboj, Central Bosnia, Herzegovina-Neretva and West Herzegovina Cantons.
