SIPA police officers searched a residential building in Visoko, during which they discovered a laboratory for the production of marijuana in artificial conditions, and temporarily confiscated about 150 pots with stems, and arrested one person.

Last night, the police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska and the Ministry of the Interior of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, realized an operational action against unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics.

One person was arrested in the action due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that she committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Marketing of Narcotic Drugs.

“Acting on the orders of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Municipal Court in Visoko, SIPA police officers searched a residential building in Visoko, discovered a laboratory for the production of marijuana in artificial conditions, and temporarily seized about 150 pots with skunk stalks in the final maturation stage, irrigation, heating, lighting and air supply systems. After the criminal investigation in the premises of SIPA, the person deprived of liberty will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton. SIPA police officers are continuing their activities in this case,” according to a statement from SIPA.
