Six Persons deprived of Liberty for Smuggling of Narcotics

On an order of a Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutors Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, authorized police officers of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior have been carrying out an action codenamed “Trace” /”Trag”/ since the early morning hours, with the aim of uncovering an organized criminal group engaged in the smuggling of narcotics.

Searches are being conducted at several locations in the areas of Trebinje and Foča, and six persons have been deprived of their liberty.

The aforementioned suspects are under investigation for the criminal offense of Organized Crime, referred to in Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, referred to in Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After questioning of the suspects, the Prosecutor in charge of this case will decide on further activities in this case.
