At least 18 people were killed in an Israeli attack on a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA), which housed displaced civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The Media Office of the government in Gaza stated that Israeli warplanes bombed the Al-Jaouni school in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

They announced that 18 people were killed in the attack, including children and six UNRWA employees.

It was emphasized that this attack on the school, where more than 5,000 displaced civilians were located, was a “terrible, brutal massacre”.

Israel is reported to have bombed more than 18 schools and accommodation centers in the Nuseirat refugee camp since October 7, when the Gaza war began.

They called on the world to react to these crimes against displaced persons and civilians in Gaza.

The Administration of Civil Protection in the Gaza Strip stated that women and children were among the killed, and that 18 people were wounded in the attack on the school.

They added that this is the fifth attack by the Israeli army on the same school, AA writes.
