Sixth April Award went to Edin Džeko

On their first session, City Council of Sarajevo has unanimously decided to give Sixth April Award to BiH football team striker and Manchester City Striker Edin Džeko.

Members of the Committee for awards were: Sabahudin Delalić, Miroslav Živanović, Sanja Lazar, Drago Jurić, Amel Mekić, Gradimir Gojer, Enes Husejnović, Igor Mišković, Salih Selimanović, Dženana Zlatar, Rasim Smajić. Jelena Mista and Dragan Vikić.

They stated that Edin Džeko is a personality accepted by the citizens and especially young citizens as someone who has high morals and who is a philanthropist. He was chosen as UNICEF ambassador in 2009.
