Slovenia will once again recognize Diplomas obtained in Bosnia and Herzegovina

From Monday, June 19, Slovenia will continue considering individual requests for recognition of higher education diplomas from BiH, which will unblock the process of evaluation and recognition of higher education diplomas obtained in BiH.

The aforementioned activity is the result of intensive months-long communication between the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the competent educational authorities with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia, with the aim of protecting the acquired rights of persons who obtained their higher education diplomas in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We remind you that on October 24, 2022, the ENIC-NARIC Center of the Republic of Slovenia suspended the consideration of individual requests for the evaluation and recognition of higher education diplomas obtained in Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to, as stated in the press release of the Slovenian ENIC-NARIC Center, “missing, unclear and inconsistent information regarding the accreditation of higher education institutions and study programs in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Slovenians have stopped the process of recognizing diplomas for the reason that they expressed a justified suspicion of falsified diplomas and are now looking for a model that will guarantee them that the diplomas they recognize will be unquestionably valid in terms of continuing education and applying for the job market, Klix.ba reports.
