Milanko Kajganic, Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), said that the team of prosecutors will additionally check all the allegations made by the United States (U.S.) authorities about the prosecutor Diana Kajmakovic’s connection with criminal organizations.
”A case has already been opened at the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, in which a team of prosecutors is verifying allegations about the prosecutor’s possible connection with certain criminal groups and their activities. In the same case, additional checks will now be carried out in relation to these allegations that have been announced, which concern the placement of the prosecutor Diana Kajmakovic on the U.S. blacklist,” he stated.
Kajganic added that a special case was opened at the beginning of the year, in which all the persons who are on the sanctions lists of all countries, including the U.S., were opened.
”In that case, together with colleagues from the U.S., the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH carries out checks and looks for evidence of possible criminal activities. We will do the same in this case,” he adds.
As for her further involvement in the State Prosecutor’s Office, it will be decided by the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) and the Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor (ODT).
To recall, at the beginning of August, Kajmakovic was transferred from the position of head of the Department for Corruption in the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to the Department for War Crimes.
Before that, Kajmakovic was removed from the case related to the decryption of the Sky application, through which criminogenic persons communicated, because her name also appeared in the application, that is, in the conversation of the criminals, Klix.ba reports.
