Smuggling of 48 Persons in BiH prevented

On Saturday, September 3, members of the Border Police Unit of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gradiška prevented the smuggling of 48 persons of Afro-Asian origin in the border zone in the area of ​​Gradiška.

Smuggling was prevented in the town of Gašnica, during the border control of buses of BiH plates. On that occasion, the officers of this unit determined that all passengers were foreign citizens without identification documents, and in the Questionnaires for Migrants they stated that they came from Afghanistan (21), Pakistan (8) and Bangladesh (19), the Border Police of BiH announced.

The vehicle was driven by A.H. (1965), a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina who, according to the order of the duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was interrogated as a suspect and a report on the criminal offense of “person smuggling” will be submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina against him.

After the criminal investigation and hearing of the witnesses, the foreign citizens were handed over to the members of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners of BiH for further processing, along with a proposal for expulsion from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
