Pale_RSThe municipal assembly of Pale agreed yesterday on the issuance of guarantees for municipal borrowing of ‘’Gradske Toplane’’ at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) worth around 11 million KM.

Miodrag Kovačević, the mayor of Pale, recalled that the RS government agreed yesterday and approvded for the municipality to provide a guarantee.

He added that he proposed that in the next month to conduct public hearings so citizens could give their opinions on this project.

‘’These are great funds and a very serious project. We have to hear what the public thinks. If the hearing shows that this is not worth it, we will cease activities’’, said Kovačević.

Nenad Pavlović, the Director of ‘’Gradske Toplane’’, said that his project will mean more for the entire municipality, because it creates newworks that will cost around 15 million KM, of which 4 million are donor funds.

Pavlović said that this is a very favorable loan because the interest rate is about 3 percent of the repayment period of 15 years and a 3 year grace period.

“With this project, citizens would get a quality and modern heating system. It would be economically clean, because this is about biomass, and it will be cheaper in comparison to other forms of heating’’, said Pavlović.

At the session, they adopted a report on works for 2012 of public enterprises and institutions founded by the municipality.
