SDP party president Nermin Niksic said that in the presence of his closest associates he had a telephone conversation with the high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt.
Niksic expressed his gratitude to Schmidt for the extremely constructive conversation, the exchange of arguments and the determination to respect different points of view.
“I am very pleased that he indicated in the conversation that there will be no imposition of new election rules at the moment, and that changes to the BiH Election Law will be discussed after the elections. I am glad that Mr. Schmidt realized that the imposition of changes to the BiH Election Law in this counterproductive at the moment,” said Niksic.
He added that those in the SDP remain open to dialogue in the interest of every person in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“I am using the opportunity to once again call on citizens to raise their voices clearly and loudly tonight at 7 p.m. together against the ethnic division of the country and the ideologies of division and apartheid, which will certainly not stand still. Tonight it is important to send a stronger message than ever that citizens do not agree to the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina Niksic concluded, Klix.ba writes.
