The Council of National Minorities of Sarajevo Canton, with the support of the EU Delegation to BiH and the EU Special Representative to BiH organized a roundtable in Sarajevo. Representatives of national minorities and advisory bodies of national minorities in BiH attended the roundtable, as well as representatives of embassies and international organizations, representatives at the canton, entity and state level, and representatives of civil society organizations.

They spoke about the socio-political participation of national minorities in BiH.

The discussion was focused on two thematic areas of socio-political participation of national minorities- their participation in the electoral process and the participation of representatives of national minorities in consultative bodies of national minorities.

Vehid Šehić, the former president and member of the Central Election Commission in BiH and the president of the Organization for Civil Society Forum for Tuzla citizens, moderated the roundtable.

More than 40 representatives participated in the discussion in an effort to explore the current problems and the potential areas for improvement in legal and political areas.
