The Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luigi Soreca, met today with the Commander of EUFOR, Romanian Major General Florian-Marian Barbu, to discuss the current political and security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Soreca stressed that the presence of EUFOR in BiH represents a clear and visible sign of the European Union’s commitment to the stability and security of the country.

He stressed that the role of EUFOR as a multinational force is essential to support the institutions of BiH in maintaining a secure environment.

The EU remains unequivocally committed to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to the EU perspective of the country as a single and united country, the EU Delegation to BiH announced on the X platform.
