This morning, around six o’clock, the special anti-terrorist units of the Kosovo police stormed the Clinical and Hospital Center in Kosovska Mitrovica with weapons, said director Dr. Zlatan Elek.
Elek stated at a media conference in Mitrovica KBC that the special forces came with 15 jeeps and forcibly broke the entrance doors of the laundry room and the boiler room.
“We came, doctor Dragiša Milović and I, we asked for an explanation from Eulex who was a silent observer of these unfortunate events, they directed us to the anti-terrorist units that were in front of the laundry room and the boiler room at the time. When I asked what was happening, a specific number spoke in English, part in Albanian. There were civilians in police vests with long pipes,” said Elek.
At that moment, as he emphasized, KBC workers and students of the Secondary Medical School were coming to work, that is, to practice, and they were visibly upset. Elek also pointed out that a number of people undergoing treatment could, from the windows of their rooms, see what was happening, and that entire KBC teams have been working since this morning to calm the patients.
As several media reported earlier this morning, members of the special unit of the Kosovo Police searched the building in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica where the vice-president of the Serbian List, Milan Radoičić, lived.
As recorded by TV cameras, a large number of armored vehicles with long pipes were deployed around the building.
Kosovo police seized two luxury Mercedes vehicles with Belgrade plates and one quad without plates.
As can be seen in the video, the vehicles were driven from the area around the building accompanied by armored vehicles of the Kosovo Police.
On the ground floor of the building is the Grej restaurant, and a hotel of the same name with an identical logo also exists on Kopaonik, and that hotel was linked to Zvonko Veselinović.
However, according to publicly available data, the owner of the restaurant in Kosovska Mitrovica is Ema Radoičić.
