sportsko_novinarstvoThe debate “Sports journalism -a part of the problem or part of the solution in B&H sport ?” will be held today at the Sarajevo Media Center at 18:00.

A branch of journalism exposed to a wider public judgement of sports reporting does not exist, and at the same time there is no journalism when the basic principles of the profession are drastically violated, announced the organizers of the event.

Questions such as: “Is a journalist obliged to lie, or at least to keep quiet about the facts in order to create a good atmosphere for the team or around the team?”, “Who are the untouchable athletes that journalists cannot criticize?”, “Is there a difference between nowadays sports journalism from the time when the former Yugoslavia was sports superpower?” will be discussed at the debate.

Ivica Osim and Milorad Đurković and B&H sports reporters Sinan Sinanović and Sabahudin Topabećirević will try to answer these questions and many others. Senad Pećanin is the moderator of the event.

An evening dedicated to sports journalism is organized under the program that for the third season is successfully implemented by Media Center Sarajevo and Frontline Club in London, with the financial support of the Media Program of the Open Society Foundation in London.
