The Srebrenica municipal census commission said that the census is being carried out in this area according to plan. Enumerators have determined the dynamics of work with their instructors, they are on the field and are doing the job for which they signed a contract. The only thing that is slowing down their work are census materials, and the decision by the RS Agency for Statistics and the Census Bureau regarding the enumerators who violated the Census Law.
‘’We lack forms P1 and P2, but we expect to have them by the end of the day. Regarding the eventual repetition of the census in several census circles, we still have not received any information, so the Census Commission was not informed by the RS Agency for Statistics nor by the Census Bureau. For days, we have been trying and looking for the decision from the Census Bureau to dismiss an enumerator who was filling out forms in a café. However, we have never received that decision, and how we would continue to act in accordance with the decision. When it comes to the case of an enumerator who tried to cross the border into Serbia with census forms, we requested advice yesterday from the RS Agency for Statistics on what steps to take’’, said the President of the municipal census commission Nermina Muminović for ‘Sarajevo Times’.
Even though some places are far from the area of municipality Srebrenica, enumerators are arriving at these destinations and are successfully carrying out the census. People are friendly and happy to open the door for enumerators, said the Srebrenica municipal census commission.
