The Star of Monty Python, John Cleese, to attend the SFF in Sarajevo?

The famous British comedian and star of Monty Python, John Cleese, will be this year’s guest of the Sarajevo Film Festival. The legendary actor is the winner of the Honorable Heart of Sarajevo, which will be presented to him at the ceremony of the 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival.

John Cleese is an award-winning British comedian, actor, director, and member of the former comedy group Monty Python.

He achieved his first success with “The Frost Report” in 1966 and 1969, where he participated in the creation of Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

He started winning the world with this team with four cult series and four very successful movies: And Now For Something Completely Different “(1971), “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” (1974), “The Life of Brian” (1979) and “The Meaning of Life” (1983).

Cleese received the Emmy Award for the role in the comedy “Cheers” and he was also nominated for the Emmy Award for appearing in the soap opera “3rd Rock From the Sun”.

John also started the Secret Policeman’s Ball concerts for Amnesty International and continued with his humanitarian work, such as The Human Face (2001) for the BBC.

In the cooperation with Monty Python, Cleese also appeared in the following movies: The Great Muppet Caper” (1980), “Time Bandits” (1980), “Privates on Parade” (1982) “Silverado” (1984), “Clockwise” (1986), “Terry Jones’s Erik the Viking”, “Eric Idle’s Splitting Heirs” (1992), “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein” (1994), “The Jungle Book” (1995), “The Wind in the Willows” (1996), “The Out-of-Towners” (1999) and “Rat Race” (2001). Cleese was also part of the movies “James Bond” and “Harry Potter”.
