SI6A3483 (1)The President of SBB Fahrudin Radončić said after the meeting of political leaders in B&H with Commissioner Fule that they did not manage to reach an agreement despite the best wills of the participants and the especially the efforts of Commissioner Fule.

‘’I think that the outcome of this seriously hampers the European path and that citizens of B&H did not deserve this, but I think there will be another opportunity to try to solve such a large strategic thing such as „Sejdić – Finci“, which asks from all of us great tolerance and compromise, and I think that we will, sooner or later, show it.

SI6A3494After the meeting, the leader of SDP Zlatko Lagumdžija said that the positions have unfortunately not changed, and said that Commissioner Fule offered a good starting point with 14 points.

‘’That was some sort of consolidated proposal that were shown to us before and pointed out that it was possible to find a solution. Unfortunately, those 14 points were not acceptable for a large number of participants in the discussion’’, said Lagumdžija, expressing regret that this proposed document was not elaborated to the end.

‘’EU Commissioner Stefan Fule and EU representatives showed great enthusiasm, but unfortunately we did not succeed’’, said the Deputy President of SDA Bakir Izetbegović after the meeting with B&H political leaders with Commissioner Fule.

He said that they were on the trail of proposed solutions with a proposal for the ten cantons to be divided in two groups.

President of HDZ 1990 Martin Raguž said that the key cause of the failure of the meeting was the lack of political will of all leaders of political parties to find a solution that would open a new perspective.

‘’We did not take advantage, at least for now, the huge effort and work by Commissioner Fule and his team, and their readiness to come to a solution that would launch B&H forward. Fule has not put the ball in our hands’’, said Raguž.

President of SNSD Milorad Dodik said that in the RS it is expected to remain direct elections, that the RS is one constituency and that in this constituency most of the votes would choose one member of the Presidency.

‘’That is acceptable to us. We came with this position earlier. The problem remains with the harmonization of certain procedures relating to the constituency of the FB&H’’, said Dodik.
