Experts of the FBiH Chamber of Commerce (PKFBiH), Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of the FBIH and local companies are working on a strategy for the development of wood and building material industry.

The FBiH Chamber of Commerce previously submitted an initiative to the FBiH government and demonstrated the need for the development of these two strategies, and the development of the textile industry. The FBiH Minister of Energy and Mining Erdal Trhulj supported the strategies and cooperation is being carried out in a way that the resources of the Ministries, Chamber and manufacturers in these areas form a working group that would deal with the strategies.

The objective of the development strategies of the wood industry is more employment and production that includes products at a higher level of processing and final products that would be competitive in foreign markets, said PKFBiH to FENA.

The development strategy of the building material industry will highlight the need for commitment and action toward radical changes that would stimulate production and installation of domestic building materials in facilities in domestic and foreign markets.

The development strategy of the textile industry, clothing, leather and shoes was recently presented in Sarajevo, and it was pointed out that its implementation could double the number of employees in this industry.
