Adopt for Love, Adopt for Life oslobodjenje.baThe Veterinary Faculty, in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy, launched yesterday the campaign titled “Adopt for love, adopt for life” with the aim to help the abandoned dogs find a safe home.

“All citizens who love animals and have time, will and space to adopt a dog from the asylum or from the street now have the opportunity to do so”, said Dzenana Vrskic, the project coordinator.

Veterinary Faculty will provide free examination, diagnostics and treatment, preventive vaccination against infectious diseases, cleaning from parasites, advice and information on caring about the dogs, and other services for the dogs adopted by the citizens.

Thereby, new owners will be able to carelessly spend time with their pets, without thinking about possible diseases.

“Hundreds of pets are on the streets, waiting for a shelter. Each of them has a sad story, they have been abused, kicked out, starved. Citizens are approaching, showing interest, but we still do not know the exact number of dogs that will be adopted”, said the project coordinator Belma Krivic.
