Streets of Sarajevo “empty” due to International Labor Day

narodno_pozoriste_sarajevo_fena5These days, people can be rarely seen on the streets of the Sarajevo, and all due to the departure of many citizens of BiH to the warmer regions and surrounding tourist sites on the occasion of the International Labor Day.

While walking down the streets of Sarajevo, one could see tourists walking on the main streets or sitting and drinking coffee.

Most cafes were working yesterday, while shopping malls and shops mostly worked up to noon.
There were neither cars on the main road nor on the parking spots. Trams, busses and trolleybuses were half empty.

The most crowded places were the picknick sites where majority of Sarajevans were celebrating the International Labor Day.

Unlike many cities in the world where workers are looking for better working conditions, there were no protests on the streets of Sarajevo yesterday.
