Strong Earthquake struck Japan’s Second largest Island

An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck Hokkaido, Japan’s second largest island, on Sunday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Institute reported.

The quake struck about 110 kilometers (68 miles) from the city of Aomori.

The epicenter of the quake was at a depth of 90 kilometers (56 miles) off the coast of Tomakomai in Iburi Prefecture.
