A storm accompanied by hail that hit Zagreb County in the afternoon took roofs off houses, felled trees and caused floods.

The county center received about 30 reports from citizens about the consequences of the storm, which related to the removal of roofs from houses, damage to chimneys, trees falling on power lines, roads and vehicles.

Trams were stopped in Zagreb due to falling trees, while roofs flew off houses in Zaprešić. In Dugi Selo, roads were flooded after heavy hail, Croatian media reports.

Meteorologists have announced thunderstorms with strong winds and hail, and the weather will be unstable tomorrow as well, when it will be significantly cooler than today.

For the afternoon and during the evening, a red warning was issued for Zagreb and Osijek, orange for Rijeka, and yellow for Karlovac and Gospić.
