Ninth grade students from Richmond Park International Elementary School Tuzla, Nadia Elezović and Ajša Čeperković, participated in the 15th edition of the Luxembourg International Science Expo (LISE) – an international science fair and Olympiad held from October 28 to November 1.

Their research work attracted the attention of the expert jury, and they received special praise for the quality of the presentation and the innovativeness of the project. They were also distinguished as the youngest participants of the entire EXPO and won an award for participation.

This event brought together participants from 27 countries from four continents, and 90 young innovators presented 32 projects. This is one of the most important European gatherings dedicated to the promotion of science and research among young people.

Nadia and Ajša proudly represented their school, the city of Tuzla, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the only representatives from our country. This enabled them to gain new knowledge about European scientific projects, exchange experiences with peers from other countries and establish important international contacts.

On this occasion, pedagogue Merima Šehić emphasized that the students showed exceptional maturity, knowledge and responsibility, representing their school and Bosnia and Herzegovina with dignity.

– We are proud of our students who represented Tuzla and our country with great enthusiasm, knowledge and research spirit. Their work shows that young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina can participate equally in European and global scientific projects – the school said.
