By the beginning of March, the first cycle of internships in the Directorate for European integration of B&H according to the Memorandum of cooperation between the Directorate for European Integration (DEI) of the B&H Council of Ministers and B&H Faculties of Philosophy should be finished.
According to information on the implementation of the Action Plan for implementing the Memorandum of cooperation between the DEI of the B&H Council of Ministers and Faculties of Philosophy in B&H, which was adopted at the last session of the Council of Ministers, the DEI, as an institution that is responsible for providing support in meeting the obligations of B&H’s EU accession process, signed a Memorandum on 31 May 2011 on cooperation for 2012-2015 with the Faculties of Philosophy in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Mostar and East Sarajevo.
The public call for interns was announced at the end of October 2013 on the Internet site of DEI, as well as on the notice boards of the Faculties. Based on the average score of the students at their faculties, a total of 16 students from the department of Humanities were selected.
The students independently worked on translating documents and editing, and participated in all activities that were carried out on a daily basis in the translation sector of DEI.
According to the plan, the rest of the selected students will do an internship until the beginning of this March, which would complete the first cycle of internships. DEI might have several more cycles of internships for students by the end of 2015, which depends on their obligations and interests of students.
