[wzslider autoplay=”true”]”Archifashion” is the name of the fashion project that brought together the biggest names of BH fashion scene in order to produce an editorial completely dedicated to the architects who built some of the most famous buildings in Sarajevo from the 50’s to the late 80’s of the last century.
Artistic Director of the “Archifashion” is Jaan Amir Alic, and Vanja Lisac was in charge for the photos. Supermodel Sarah Cerakez wore creations by designers Mark Feher, Ljiljana Majkic and Thara Koncept.
The team was preparing for more than a month, and they made shooting at six locations in Sarajevo, and this is the first project from BiH that was officially published in the Croatian fashion magazine Elle.
“I love the architecture and shapes and I always found it fascinating that BiH and Sarajevo have outstanding architects that are not exposed enough. And although I appreciate them very much, the promotion of the Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman buildings in Sarajevo became a bit boring, and I wanted to present the exceptional Yugoslav or BH seal that is special in the world “, said Jan Amir Alic, adding that the socialist modernism in Sarajevo is unique and that he wanted to connect it with our outstanding designers.
The inspiration for BiH Designers, Mark Feher, Ljiljana Majkic and Thara Koncept, were the highest representatives of the (post) modernism and brutalism as trends in architecture.
Marko Feher presented his futuristic dress on Skenderija, while the red dress, from the new collection of Ljiljana Majkic, decorated RTV Dom (RTV House).
The building of Elektroprivreda of BiH and the famous hotel Holiday Inn in Sarajevo were built in 1978 or 1984. The most popular BH architect, Ivan Straus, designed these buildings.
Sarah Cerkez is wearing a green dress by Thara Concept in front of Elektroprivreda, and on the other picture she is wearing the blue skirt by Ljiljana Majkic and jacket by Thara Koncept.
