sartr“Given the financial situation, I think that the art season in the Sarajevo War Theatre SARTR went fantastically’’, said the Director of SARTR Nihad Kreševljaković to Fena.

He said that SARTR managed to successfully realize three theatre productions, of which two are the results of cooperation through co-production with the theatre festival MESS and the BiH National Theatre Zenica. These are plays called “Sjećanje kamena” and “Priča s istočne strane”.

“Also, the play “Tajna džema od malina” is considered one of the most important BiH theatre productions, and we began this year with the play. The fact that until now we managed to realize three plays is something that gives us a reason to be happy’’, he said.

Kreševljaković could not talk about what the second half of the year could bring, the beginning of the new art season, and he said that this is something that needs to be discussed.

Plays in the Sarajevo War Theatre, as well as a number of other socially engaged content that this theatre house organizes always records exceptional attendance and the halls are often filled to capacity.
